Citizenship of Jordania

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is strategically located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. The Kingdom is among the countries with favorable conditions for doing business. The Kingdom combines ancient and modern culture, and the city of Petra belongs to the former, and the capital of the state of Amman, the economic, political and cultural center of the country, belongs to the latter. Jordan is located on the Northern Arabian Peninsula and has almost no access to the sea.
Under Jordan's Citizenship by Investment Program, approved applicants and their family members can obtain citizenship within three months.

Benefits of Jordanian Citizenship

Investment conditions:

  1. Investments in a bank deposit or treasury bonds.
    A $1,000,000 interest-free deposit placed with the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) for three years. Purchasing US$1,000,000 in Treasury bonds for at least six years. The interest rate is determined by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
  2. Securities.
    Purchase of securities in the amount of USD 1,500,000 or more as part of an active investment portfolio in Jordan. The investment must be kept for at least three years.
  3. A local project leading to job creation in Jordan.
    An investment of USD 1,000,000 in any project in Jordan and USD 750,000 if the project is registered outside of Amman and subject to the creation of at least twenty and ten jobs, respectively, and the existence of the project for a minimum of three years.

Terms of obtaining Citizenship of Jordan.

The process of obtaining Jordanian citizenship takes three months from the date of submission of documents. It is not necessary to reside in the Kingdom before receiving a certificate of citizenship.

Applicants who have acquired Jordanian citizenship can apply for a passport for spouse, unmarried, widowed or divorced daughters, as well as sons under the age of 18 and parents financially dependent on the main applicant.

Cost of support for obtaining Jordanian Citizenship:

  • 120,000 USD per applicant;
  • 240,000 USD for spouse and applicant;
  • 300,000 USD for the applicant’s spouse and one child;
  • 360,000 USD for the applicant’s spouse and two children;
  • 80,000 USD for each additional family member.
