Citizenship of the Republic of Moldova

The Republic of Moldova officially launched the Moldovan Citizenship by Investment Program in 2018. According to the Law of Moldova “On Citizenship by Investment”, foreigners are given the opportunity to acquire Moldovan Citizenship in exchange for a financial contribution to the state fund of the country.

ADVANTAGES OF CITIZENSHIP OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA:

  • 121 countries of the world without visas, including the countries of the Schengen zone and the Russian Federation;
  • it is possible to obtain Moldovan citizenship for a spouse, parents over 55 years old and children under 29 years old;
  • free economic zones have been created in Moldova, where the tax rate has been reduced by 50%;
  • the applicant is not required to renounce his first citizenship;
  • favorable location of Moldova;
  • citizenship of Moldova is issued for life and automatically assigned to the descendants of the investor.

CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION OF CITIZENSHIP OF MOLDOVA:

age of majority;

no criminal record;

passing a due diligence check;

confirmation of the source of invested funds.

The amount of investment directly depends on the number of applicants:

Deposit amount:
— for one applicant from 115,000 euros;
— for a married couple from 145,000 euros; - for a family of 3/4 people from 155,000 euros.

Additionally, the investor needs to pay:

The state fee after the approval of the assignment of citizenship - 35,000 euros

Official fees of EUR 5,000 for the main applicant; 2,500 euros for a spouse; EUR 1,000 for a child under 15; EUR 2,500 for a dependent child between the ages of 16 and 29; €5,000 for dependent parent aged 55+

Due diligence procedure - 6,000 euros for yourself; EUR 5,000 for spouse and child over 16 and/or dependent parent

Passport fee - 300 euros for each family member.

CITIZENSHIP OF MOLDOVA BY INVESTMENT PROGRAM:

  1. Collection of documents for passing a due diligence check;
  2. Making a financial contribution and paying state duties;
  3. Obtaining the status of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova.

Minimum investment amount: From 135,000 euros

Receipt time: From 3 months



Cost of support for obtaining Moldavian Citizenship:

  • 45,000 euros per applicant;
  • 90,000 euros for spouse and applicant;
  • 115,000 euros for the applicant’s spouse and one child;
  • 140,000 euros for the applicant’s spouse and two children;
  • 30,000 for each additional family member.
