Residence permit of Spain
Without the right to work
A country with potential, real estate with opportunities... If funds allow, obtaining a residence permit will not be a problem. And with this status you can travel without visas throughout all EU countries, live and work in any region of Spain, teach children in local schools and universities, and receive quality medical care. After 5 years, a residence permit can be converted into permanent residence, and after 10 years, citizenship can be obtained.
List of required documents:
Passport (page with photo and registration).
International passport (all pages).
Marriage certificate.
Birth certificate.
Certificate of employment (length of service, position).
Certificates in form 2 personal income tax (3NDFL) for the last three years.
Bank statement from your country of residence for the last 12 months.
Rental contract for housing in Spain (minimum 5 years), or a certificate of ownership of real estate in Spain (Escritura). The rental contract must be accompanied by copies of the homeowners’ passports and an extract from the property register.
Certificate from the Spanish bank or the bank of the country of residence on the account balance, from 35,000 euros per family applicant and an additional 7,000 euros for each family member.
Statement from a Spanish bank for the last 6 months.
Spanish health insurance.
Certificate from the Spanish school on the enrollment of children (for children aged 6 to 16 years).
Certificate of good conduct with an apostille.
Medical certificate.
Registration.
All documents are required in electronic form in PDF format.
Process:
The period for preparing documents takes from 14 to 20 working days.
The queue for submission to the Spanish consulate of the country of residence is up to 60 days.
The period for reviewing documents after submitting documents to the Consulate is 1-3 months.
A husband or wife can submit documents to the Consulate for the entire family.
To obtain a D visa, you need to personally arrive with your whole family at the Spanish Consulate in your country of residence.
After a positive decision, the Spanish Consulate will issue national D visas for a period of 3 months, which require entry to Spain.
After arriving in the Kingdom of Spain, you are required to submit biometrics to order Residence Permit ID cards from the police.
ID cards for residence permits are made by the police within 30 days.
